Common Questions

Is the sea rough? I get seasick easily.

The Aegean Sea around Marmaris is famously calm in summer, sheltered by islands and peninsulas. Most days are perfectly flat. However, if you're prone to seasickness, take a preventative tablet the evening before. We sail in very protected coastal waters, not open ocean.

Can non-swimmers come?

Absolutely. Life jackets are available at all times and no swimming is compulsory. Many guests simply sit on deck, enjoy the scenery and have lunch. Swimming stops are optional.

How large is the group?

Standard day trips accommodate up to 40 guests on spacious traditional gulets. If you prefer privacy, we offer private charter from 8 guests — your own boat, crew and itinerary.

Marmaris Boat Trips — FAQs

What types of boat trips are available from Marmaris?

Our signature full-day boat tour visits the Phosphorescent Cave (Fosforlu Mağara), Paradise Island (Cennet Adası) and Turunç Village. We also offer private gulet charters, sunset cruises and self-drive speed boats. All depart from Marmaris harbour with free hotel transfer included.

Where is the Phosphorescent Cave (Fosforlu Mağara) in Marmaris?

The Phosphorescent Cave is a dramatic sea cave along the Marmaris coastline, famous for the luminous sparkle that plays on the water inside. Our gulet anchors right in front of the cave so you can admire it safely from the deck. It is one of the most photographed stops of the day.

How do I get to Paradise Island (Cennet Adası)?

Paradise Island is reached only by sea from Marmaris — you board our gulet at Marmaris harbour (or use the free hotel transfer) and arrive in under 90 minutes. We drop anchor in the bay for a long swim stop in unbelievably clear turquoise water. No separate ferry or ticket is required.

How long do we stop in Turunç Village?

We stop in Turunç for around 1 to 1.5 hours — enough time to stroll through the charming seaside village, visit the local shops, take photos along the beach or enjoy a Turkish coffee. Turunç is one of the highlights of the full-day route.

Do I need to book in advance?

We strongly recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance, especially in July and August when all boats fill quickly. Last-minute same-day bookings are sometimes available via WhatsApp.

What should I bring on a boat trip?

Swimwear, sunscreen (biodegradable preferred), a towel, light clothing for the journey home, and a sun hat. All snorkelling equipment is provided. Leave valuables at the hotel.

Is food included in the boat trip price?

Yes. All standard day trips include lunch with rice, chicken, salads, mezze and fruit. Drinks are available to purchase on board.

Can children come on boat trips?

Yes, children of all ages are welcome. Life jackets in all sizes are available. Young children typically love the experience. Please mention children's ages when booking.

Can I rent a speed boat and drive it myself in Marmaris?

Yes! We offer self-drive speed boats in three power levels: 115 HP (family-friendly), 150 HP (adventurous), and 450 HP (maximum adrenaline). No licence required. A safety briefing is given before departure. Explore bays, hidden caves and swim in crystal-clear waters at your own pace.
