Classroom theory (5 modules) + confined water (pool) sessions — skills: mask clearing, buoyancy, emergency ascent
Ocean dives 1 & 2 (max 12 m) — apply pool skills in open water, guided navigation, marine life identification
Ocean dives 3 & 4 (max 18 m) — deep reef, wreck site, compass navigation, certification exam

Can I finish in 3 days if I'm a slow learner?
Yes. If you need extra pool time, we schedule it at no charge. The certification doesn't expire — take the time you need. Most guests complete comfortably in 3 days.

PADI Course FAQs
How long does the PADI Open Water course take?+
3 full days. Day 1: theory + pool. Days 2-3: 4 ocean dives. Some students request a 4th day at no extra cost.
Is the PADI certification recognised worldwide?+
Yes. PADI is the world's largest diver training organisation. Your Open Water card is valid at every dive centre on every continent, for life.
What depth can I reach with Open Water certification?+
PADI Open Water certifies you to dive independently to 18 metres (60 feet). Advanced Open Water extends to 30 metres.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?+
You need to swim 200 m (any stroke) and float for 10 minutes. These are assessed on Day 1. If you struggle, extra practice is provided.
