Can beginners go scuba diving in Marmaris?

Yes. Our Try Dive programme requires zero previous experience. Your PADI-certified instructor gives a full briefing on land before you enter the water, and stays by your side throughout both dives.

Can I dive if I can't swim?

Yes. Over 40% of our guests have never swum in the sea before. The buoyancy of the diving equipment keeps you afloat naturally, and you'll be in calm, shallow water with your instructor at all times.

Do I need a diving licence?

No. For a Try Dive or Discovery Dive experience, no certification is required. If you want a full PADI Open Water licence, we offer a separate 3-day course.

How deep do we go?

First dive: 5–8 metres in calm, shallow water. Second dive: up to 18 metres depending on conditions and your comfort level. Your instructor decides the depth based on how you feel.

Are there sea turtles in Marmaris?

Yes. The waters around Marmaris are home to Caretta Caretta (loggerhead) sea turtles. We regularly see them on both dive sites, especially from May to October.
